Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)

Sri Shanmugha College of Pharmacy has established its Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) under the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), Government of India. The council aims to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students and faculty.

The IIC serves as a platform to encourage creative thinking, promote startup ideas, and support the development of innovative solutions in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. It conducts regular activities such as workshops, idea competitions, expert talks, and awareness programs on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and startup funding.

By connecting students with industry experts, entrepreneurs, and mentors, the council helps translate ideas into practical outcomes. It also encourages participation in national innovation programs like Smart India Hackathon, Toycathon, and National Innovation Contest.

Through these efforts, IIC nurtures future-ready professionals who are equipped not just with technical knowledge but also with entrepreneurial skills—contributing to the vision of a self-reliant India.
